March 7, 2022Sometimes who you know makes all the difference in the world.
For Ray Long, that was an important factor in meeting his fiancée, Katie Keeton.
One day, Ray happened to be browsing on the friend suggestion section on Facebook and Katie’s profile popped up. He noticed that she lived close by and had a lot of mutual friends, plus she was attractive. One thing led to another and now they have been together for three years, have twin girls and a dog, and are soon getting married.
“As cliche as it may sound, she means everything to me,” Ray said. “She is changing my life around. Our values were lined up as well as our interests, so that was definitely a plus. We both wanted kids and everything came together quickly. She’s just amazing.”
Ray had gone through some things in the past, but with Katie in his life, he has been able to endure anything that life throws his way. She supports him through everything, and he is grateful for how caring she is.
“She’s extremely patient, which is great,” he said. “I’m not the easiest person to deal with, as I have some PTSD from the military, as well as some anxiety issues. Those two things can make a lot of situations difficult, but she’s been very patient with me and very understanding. She will even come to my therapist with me to understand more how to deal with what I am going through.”
This is something that truly sets Katie apart from so many other people. She is hands-on and proactive, and she is never afraid to show how much she cares for someone.
She truly wants to help people get through whatever they are going through, and this includes Ray.
She is there for so many people, and she is always going to make sure that people have everything they need.
“She is a wonderful mom to our girls and always makes sure they have all the love and attention that they need, and I couldn’t ask for anything better,” Ray said.
She is the best mom and a great role model to their two girls, and Katie is always showing dedication to whatever it is she is doing. She always puts forth maximum effort, and you never have to ask her to do something twice.
“She is very hard working,” Ray said. “She does not ever complain or anything either. Any family functions we have, she hosts here at our house. For each season, she will have decorations around the house for whatever holiday it is. She just does all the little things nobody thinks of. She’s extremely dependable and always there.”
Katie is very selfless and always loving, and people always feel welcome when they are around her.
She makes people feel comfortable and know that they have someone who cares about them, and she has a genuineness that sticks out like nothing else.
Ray is beyond grateful for her, and he loves her for all she does.
“She is an amazing woman,” he said. “I am so lucky and blessed to have her as a partner in this crazy life. Meeting her was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am so thankful for her patience with me and my social issues. She just takes care of everything and is amazing.”
