Her heart looms large. Betty King treats everyone (from human to animal) super well, and she is constantly looking out for them.
In fact, Betty is very much a tremendous wife and human mother, but it is what she does for her dogs that might stand out above everything else. She treats those dogs like royalty, and she just always makes sure they have everything they need – from meds to snuggles.
That’s just who Betty is though. She never gives a second thought to being there for others, and her dogs very much notice and appreciate that. Coco (RIP), Roxy, Nibs, Maya, P’Nut and Pep’R are all grateful that they have such a great mother in their lives to take care of them, and they wanted to take some time to show their appreciation for her.
“Mom never hesitates to lend a hand or help someone or something in need,” Coco and Roxy said. “She has a huge heart for people and animals. She takes care of her five dogs and around 30 stray cats that have been spayed and neutered and are now part of the family. She loves us unconditionally. She plays with us and snuggles with us all every night. She would do anything to keep us happy and healthy. She makes sure we get our meds.”
Betty is always looking out for her dogs. They all have some sort of medical issues, but she has a way of getting them all to take their meds every day.
According to her husband and daughter, being the compassionate dog mom Betty is comes as no surprise. She has always been the person in the room with the biggest heart and the most selfless mindset, and it does not hurt that she loves animals. She would not ever treat them less than, and that goes a long way in formulating such special bonds with them all.
Speaking of bonding, Betty has a way of communicating with her animals that is unlike anything anyone has seen.
“She loves to talk to us,” Coco and Roxy said. “Mom gives us hugs and kisses all the time. Sometimes she’ll dress us up. She’ll give us a bath if we get dirty. Coco would go crazy after a bath. Roxy does too. She’ll take us for car rides to get our haircut. Roxy just gets a trim because she’s a special pretty princess. Roxy gets to go for ice cream too.”
Coco, Roxy and the rest of the clan get to live the life all dogs wish they could, and it is all thanks to their wonderful mom. She is their everything and the one person in their lives who has always treated them right, and for that they are super grateful.
They don’t complain about being spoiled either. Nor are they afraid to admit that they are. These dogs get the best of the best, and they get the best treatment too.
“She’s so loving and friendly,” Coco and Roxy said. “She makes us special food every day. Not that yucky stuff that comes in a can. When our bellies are upset, she’ll give us medicine and baby food and sometimes eggs.
“If we get hurt, she takes care of us. Like when Nibs got bit in the head by a large dog, she immediately took Nibs to the emergency vet. It was scary, but Nibs came home all better. She truly loves us. Coco used to have seizures and she would hold him and love him until he felt better.”
Talk about having someone who is always there for you. These dogs know how lucky they are, and they do not take Betty for granted.
They know that everyone in Betty’s life feels the same way, as she is just such a caring and wonderful person as a whole. She loves with all her heart, and she treats others with kindness and respect.
“She is so loving, caring and thoughtful,” Coco and Roxy said. “She would do anything to keep us safe and happy.”
Betty has always been one to look out for those around her, and that is one of the many reasons why she is very much appreciated and admired.
The dogs also love her because she lets them nag. She lets them be dogs among all the spoiling, and that might be their favorite part about her… even when she gets mad at Pep’R for occasionally running off into the woods into the neighbor’s yard.
“She has taught us how to beg for food or treats,” Coco and Roxy said. “She taught us how to annoy our dad, but he loves us.”
Dogs will be dogs, and Betty knows that. She has such great balance with them, and she is just always making sure they have everything they could ever need. She loves them with all her heart, and they love her with all theirs, and they could not think of a better mom to have.
“Betty would do anything she can to help any animal, no matter how big or small,” Coco and Roxy said. “She has helped lots of birds, horses, goats and a ton of stray cats. She takes care of those who can’t take care of themselves.”
She is always selfless and always caring. She is Betty King. Happy Mother’s Day!
