Some people love their wives.
Then, there’s Greg Pett who loves his wife unconditionally. Kara Drexler Pett brings his life so much meaning and she is his soulmate. He could not imagine being married to anyone else, as she is the one person in his life who truly gets him.
She is also a sight to behold, although Kara’s beauty is just one of the many amazing things that makes her who she is.
“The first time I met her I thought she was the most beautiful woman on this planet,” Greg said. “I couldn’t take my eyes off her. Our first date at Outback in Hagerstown, Maryland I knew she was gonna be my wife. A couple years later after dinner and a horse and carriage ride in Gettysburg, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.”
Of course Kara wound up saying yes and the rest is history. She has been making Greg’s life infinitely better for well over two decades now, and he loves being married to her.
“She’s my wife,” Greg said. “She’s the love of my life. She’s my queen; my everything. My world would mean nothing without her and I would be lost without her. I’m blessed – even though I don’t always show it – to be living this life with her by my side.”
Life with Kara is fun and enjoyable. She is truly loved and appreciated by everyone around her, and everything she does for people does not go unnoticed.
Kara’s personality is also one of a kind. She has a strong work ethic and her outlook on life can light up any room she walks into. She puts family first and she is a true inspiration to many.
“She’s a very hard worker and she’s beautiful to me,” Greg said. “She’s got a beautiful smile, big beautiful eyes and she cares about her children and family. That’s all that matters to her really. She’s just very dedicated to her work and family.”
Kara’s hard work has also led her to having a successful career. She is a Penn State Altoona graduate who works as a technician at Global Data, and she is exceeding heights that only someone who is dedicated and determined like her can exceed.
Her hard work is also one of the many reasons why she is such a great role model to her children. Kimberly (21), Logan (17) and Kylie Paige (12) all look up to their mother, and they are certainly proud of all she has accomplished in life.
“I admire her work ethic, her love for family time and her dedication to her husband,” Greg said.
Kara has found a balance in life between work and family that never leaves anyone shortchanged. She’s got a husband and three children to take care of, and she is constantly making sure they are her top priority in life.
“Kara loves spending time with family, she loves being home with us – all including our two dogs, Guice and Presley – and she loves watching movies together, especially Sweet Home Alabama and The Proposal. Just being together is what’s important to her.”
Family time is quality time, and Kara knows this. She dedicates so much of her life to spending time with her husband and children, and none of them would have it any other way.
Kara has also taught her family many important things throughout their lives, including the importance of faith. She loves going to their home church in Chambersburg, and she certainly lives life the way a Christian should live. Her values are in line with her faith, and for that Greg is grateful.
“She has taught me that family means everything,” he said. “Growing up I never had a father that actually was in my life and for me it has been hard because I have never had the example to follow after. However, Kara just makes me wanna be definitely a better version of myself.”
Kara has changed Greg’s life in an infinite number of ways, and because of that – among many other reasons – he falls more in love with her each and every day.
There is no question Kara makes an impact on so many people all around her all the time. She has a big heart and a huge smile, and her outlook on life is nothing short of positive.
“You are my love, my rock, my life source,” Greg said. “You are my everything. Nothing makes me happier than having you in my life and there’s nothing I want more than to grow old together. Spending this life with you honoring God and having the best days ahead of us, I thank God everyday that I have you in my life. I don’t always show it, but you are the biggest blessing in my life and I love you.”
