If you ask Cody and Amber Jenkins, they will tell you God works in mysterious ways. They met through a very obscure way (Cody came across Amber through his Instagram For You Page), and they are glad they did. This young couple has been together for five years now, growing both as a couple and in their faith, and it is clear they are meant for each other.
When you ask Cody, he will tell you his wife is the glue of their family. She does so much for him and their children, as well as for so many other people.
On top of that, Amber is just a downright amazing woman with a wonderful personality. She has strong morals and values, and she is a true pillar.
“Amber means the world to me,” her mother Amanda said. “She has been the perfect daughter (minus her teenage years). She is the best. I am proud of her. She has brought so much joy to our lives and has made our family complete.”
From her mom being her best friend to being her daddy’s little girl, to having looked up to her big brother growing up, family has always been at the center of Amber’s heart. She would do anything for her loved ones, and they would do the same for her.
And now, she gets to be that family-centric matriarch for her own family. She and Cody have a 1-year-old son Tripp, and Amber is carrying their daughter Magnolia as we speak. And when it comes to being a wife and mother, Cody could not imagine someone more remarkable than Amber.
“Amber is the most kind-hearted, selfless and loving mother I have ever seen,” he said. “She will do anything in the world to love and protect our kids. She changed my life the day I met her. She has made me a better man by being in my life. She has challenged and helped me to grow in my faith as a Christian. She is gorgeous from her head to her toes. She is everything a man could hope to find in a woman.”
Amber’s faith is highly regarded by everyone around her, and rightfully so. Her mom said it is tough being a Christian mom these days, which speaks volumes to Amber’s character.
Speaking of her character, Amber is someone who is completely selfless and sacrificial. She has worked hard and always puts her best foot forward, and she has a way of bringing out the best in others.
“She is so strong,” Amanda said. “I wish I could be strong like her. The things she says. She’s got a heart of gold. She’s giving. She’s loving. She wants to take care of everyone else. She teaches me what a daughter really is.”
Everyone learns from Amber, and that goes to show how well she lives her life. From her faith to the way she has raised her baby boy, and everything in between, Amber has been nothing short of a wonderful role model.
“What makes her a great mom is the sacrifice,” Amanda said. “She gave up being a nurse. Sacrifice is the biggest thing I think of. She pushed through sickness after she had him. She puts him first over any and everything. He is crazy over her. She is crazy over him.”
In the Jenkins house, it’s God first, kids second, spouse third and self fourth. That hierarchy has helped Cody and Amber formulate a tremendously strong foundation.
And when it comes to Amber’s relationship with Tripp, there is nothing that can separate that bond. As a firefighter, Cody works a 24-on/48-off schedule, and when he is home, he loves seeing the connection between his wife and son. And of course, when he is working, he knows he has nothing to worry about.
“She has already taught our young boy so many things and is the most present mom I could have ever imagined,” Cody said. “I couldn’t imagine anyone better to raise children with.”
Cody loves his wife with all his heart, and he is super grateful for how top-notch of a mother she is.
He is also excited to create many more memories with her for decades to come, and he is super excited to bring Tripp and Maggie on their adventures. They are a family of four who all love each other very much, and they are looking forward to the future.
“I want her to know just how beautiful of a person she is inside and out; how thankful I am that she is my wife and the mother of our children; and how good of a mom she is. I want her to know how much she means to everyone around her and how blessed we feel to have her in our lives.” – Cody
