Role Model: Sandi is a beacon of love and support for her family

Sandi Mooney is the definition of a matriarch. She is the leader of the family who has impacted her kids’ and grandkids’ lives way more than she realizes, and she is a cherished role model.

Everything Bill, Brian and Brittany are today is because of their loving parents, and they know their dad would agree everything runs through Sandi. She is just an all-around phenomenal woman, and there is a reason Tommy has been married to her for 41 years.

“She is fearless and determined,” their daughter Brittany said. “She is a leader in her line of work and was able to climb the ladder at work while still showing up in her kids’ lives and making sure we all felt loved and cared for. I think that’s a hard feat where some people choose work or family, but my mom was successful at both and inspires me to shoot for the moon with my dreams for my career and dreams to share with my kids.”

Sandi is a project manager, and she is a darn good one at that. However, in spite of all her hard work and dedication to the job over the years, her family will tell you her real job is so much more than that.

Brittany said her mother’s true job is being an inspiration to those around her. Whether Sandi is making an impact on her family members’ lives, or whether she is being a blessing to someone in need, she shows her positivity and compassion.

There is a reason Sandi is dubbed a role model by many, especially her own children. All three of them look up to their mom because they know she has always been there for them, from showing up to events to making fun memories such as ding dong ditching in Disney.

“She accepted us kids how we were with all our highs and lows, and we knew no matter what, she loved/loves us,” Brittany said. “She shows us that being good to those around us is way more important than anything else. Having good manners and treating people with respect. Doing things that make you happy and love regardless of other people’s thoughts/opinions.”

Just be yourself. That is all that matters.

That is one of the biggest takeaways from Sandi’s raising of her children, along with being family oriented. Now Brittany gets to pass that along to her two children, and she is grateful her kids have such a wonderful grandmother.

“I admire my mom’s heart and character. She truly loves unconditionally. I also admire her backbone. You do not want to be on the wrong side of Sandi Mooney. She will hold her ground on what she believes in.”

This rings especially true when it comes to protecting her family. Sandi will do this at all costs.

She also loves dance parties, racing, going for rides in the Jeep, Taylor Swift and all things Disney. That little Tinker Bell has Sandi’s heart… but way more importantly her husband, children and grandchildren have her heart. Sandi is always there and will do anything for them, and they all love her so much.

“I would like my mom to know how special she is to her family. I have become who I am because of who she is. I want her to know that our success in life is because of how she raised us and loved us; but it’s not a past tense thing… it’s still an ever-growing love she has for us. She continues to be that pillar and foundation for us.” – Brittany
