Not all doctor’s visits are dreadful. At least, not when Mellisa Scott is your medical assistant.
They met because Ron was in need of a doctor, and Mellisa happened to be the medical assistant at his doctor’s office. After the visit, he had to call back to make a second appointment, and he subsequently asked her out on a date. By their second date, they realized things were moving fast, and they did not question it.
“She showed her big heart early on,” Ron said. “I loved her looks and how she presented herself; she was sexy, responsible, and really took care of herself.”
Mellisa was everything Ron was looking for, and he recognized that right away. He knew that she was the one he was meant to be with, and who were they to mess with fate. They did not slow down at any point in their relationship, and they will be married for 25 years later this year.
In these 24-plus years that Ron has been married to Mellisa, he has felt very lucky. He knows that she is an amazing woman with a huge heart, and that is something he does not take for granted. Every single person in her life – whether it be her parents or her cats, or anyone in between – this “old soul” cares deeply for them.
“Her sensitivity and empathy have her always reminding me to take off the business approach and sympathize with those who may need a little more understanding ,” Ron said. “I have high expectations for people, and she expects little and loves unconditionally.”
Loving the way Mellisa does is not easy for most, which is why she is considered one of one. She never gives up on people, and she really sees the good in everyone.
“Mellisa has a very big heart, is very lovable and hugs everybody – even people she barely knows,” Ron said. “She cares for everybody and is always trying to help. She has a caretaker personality. But, be warned, she can also be feisty and push back when someone pushes her to do something she does not want to do.”
Mellisa loves to love, but she hates to be crossed. As long as you stay on her good side, she is going to show you compassion and love.
Even at work, Mellisa has people’s backs. She has spent a lot of her working days as an executive assistant or recruiter in HR, helping bosses and applicants like they were family; another reminder of how much she cares.
She is so much more than just a caring individual too. Mellisa is a sight for sore eyes, and she is also very stylish according to Ron. She loves to shop and she loves to pamper herself, although Ron believes her natural beauty in and of itself is amazing.
As are all the memories these two have made together. From the drunken cobblestone walk in heels, to missed flights, to their trips to Paris, Puerto Rico, Italy, and many places in Canada and the United States, what makes those memories special is Mellisa and her natural sense to turn any moment into a moment well spent. Heck, even when they are wine tasting or just sitting at home watching movies together, Ron cherishes it all.
He cherishes it all because his wife is one of the good ones. She is his family-first, loveable, huggable wife, and he is grateful that she chose him.
