Pamela Mueller and her kids sitting on the park bench in the fall

Pamela Mueller is a hardworking wife and mom who puts her children first and never takes a day off.

Her husband, Carey, said Pamela is an excellent mother who always lets her kids, Gracie and Wesley, know that they are loved.

“Gracie and Wesley come first no matter what,” Carey said. “There isn’t a day that go by that she isn’t telling her kids that she loves them, and she showers them with kisses and hugs.”

Pamela is currently working in the Emergency Department at Henry Ford Hospital while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Carey said it’s incredibly inspiring to watch his wife work toward completing her nursing degree all the while keeping her “Chicken Nuggets” healthy, happy, and loved.

The couple met in middle school and “dated” in 7th grade. Carey said Pamela loves to make fun of him about the time he kissed her by the drinking fountain and ran off to basketball practice.

Pamela and Carey reconnected after high school and dated on and off for a while before she finally figured out Carey wasn’t going anywhere.

“I always had a feeling she was going to be the one, but it wasn’t until a few years after our daughter was born that I asked her to marry me,” Carey said.

They have made countless memories together, including a few that stick out to Carey, like their first dinner at Pei Wei and walking around Meijers just to burn the time while talking for hours.

In what little free time she has, Pamela enjoys reading, golfing and gardening. Whatever she does, her family comes first, and she loves spending time and experiencing new things with them.

Carey said he is impressed with Pamela’s fierce determination, adding that no matter what is thrown at her she will find a way to succeed.

“Gracie, Wesley and I see everything that she has done and is doing,” Carey said. “We know how much she loves us and sacrifices for us. She is strong and will never let us down. We are so proud of her.”

Pamela also has a soft heart and is willing to be a shoulder to cry on all the while still giving you the advice you need to hear not what you want to hear, Carey said.

“I am like her third kid,” he jokes, adding, “She keeps me in line. She elevates me to be better, a better father and husband. She has also taught me to be a ‘Girl Dad.’”

“The kids and I know how lucky we are to have her in our lives,” Carey said. “Thank you for everything you do for us. We love you so much and we wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day!”
