The Streussnig boys (Tom, Luke, Jake and Erik) are all extremely lucky people.

Why’s that, you ask? Well, because they have an extremely wonderful matriarch of their family of five who is the anchor and the glue of their family.

Through all the roller coasters of life, they can all count on Lisa to be a steadfast. She is a pillar of support and a true force to be reckoned with. She is a confidant and a friend, and her husband and sons could not be more grateful for her.

“What she does for me is she’s always there,” Lisa’s husband of over three decades, Tom, said. “If I never married her, I don’t know where I’d be. She puts up with me. She’s always there for me too. If I’m having a bad day, she’s there for me.”

Tom joked that if it were not for Lisa being in his life, he would probably be stuck in a ditch somewhere. And the reason he said that is because Lisa truly is the one person he can count on. She is his role model and his better half, and he has learned so much from her throughout their 36 years together.

Tom is not the only one who appreciates his wife either. Their boys all love and appreciate their mom for different reasons, but they can all collectively agree those reasons all make her the amazing mother she is.

“She never was unavailable,” Luke said. “She was there for you whenever you needed anything. Whether it was 4 a.m. or 2 p.m., there was never a time when she couldn’t be reached. It’s still that way too.”

Even with Luke and his brothers having all entered into adulthood, they still need their mother. They are not afraid to acknowledge that, because they know they have the trustiest mother.

“She’s an understanding person,” Jake said. “She’s there for you. She’s kindhearted.”

This is something Lisa worked hard to pass down to the boys. She is someone who treats others with the utmost respect, and she never says anything bad about people. She knows how to treat others the right way, and that is truly admirable.

“She’s never the type to hold a grudge with you or stay mad at you,” Erik said. “The next day, it goes away.”

An unforgiving heart can be a very ugly look for someone. Luckily, Lisa has as forgiving a heart as you will ever see. She gives people the benefit of the doubt, and she does not hold anything over your head.

She also never puts anything in front of her family, especially her sons. They are the light of her world, and she has always proven that.

“She loves her kids to death,” Tom said. “She would do anything for her kids.”

Lisa has been a model of support for her kids since day one. She was constantly cheering them on from the crowd, encouraging them during their toughest days, and taking them on adventures. She is a mother who was always there for them, and they all realize this.

They also all realize the young men they have become is in large part because of their mother. While they have always had the support from their father as well, many of the lessons they have learned and the values they have gained are from their mother.

“She taught me how to be patient,” Luke said. “As I grow older, I realize the majority of stuff she says is true.”

Mom is always right, and the story rings true for Lisa too.

Lisa also helps her husband become more even-tempered, and that is something he certainly appreciates about her. He also appreciates all the things she has instilled in their boys.

“My mother has always taught me to forge ahead and move forward,” Jake said.

Set goals and dreams and stay focused on them. Despite all the obstacles that get in your way, if you stay focused on the road ahead, there are no limits to your capabilities.

“Treat people the way you want to be treated,” Erik added. “Take anger out the right way.”

The Streussnig sons might or might not be a wall-punching bunch, but thanks to their mom, there are a lot of walls still intact.

Thanks to their mom, they also know how to treat people the right way. Lisa is a great friend who is there for everyone, whether human or animal.

“She’s very nice to others, loves animals, and is just an all-around great person,” Tom said. “She’s always mild-mannered. She listens if there’s a problem.”

Being a listening ear is certainly something that bodes well in a house full of guys, which is part of why Lisa has made for such a wonderful wife and mother. She is their confidant and the one they can always count on.

They also know she is very genuine in her ways. Lisa has the biggest heart, and she truly cares.

“She’s very empathetic, almost to a fault,” Luke said.

People try to take advantage of Lisa at times because of this, but thankfully she has the backing of the four men in her life to help her out.

These men also love spending time with her, and they cherish all the memories, no matter how big or small, they have shared with Lisa.

“I enjoy listening to music with her,” Jake said. “I enjoyed watching America’s Got Talent with her growing up.”

Lisa is someone you want to hang out with because you are going to have a good time with her. She is a very like-minded individual with a likable personality, and that is very much appreciated.

She is also someone who has no conditions to her love for her family, and that definitely comes in handy.

“The love she showed even when your idiot brother cuts off his fingers with a hedge trimmer,” Erik said. “She dealt with all our problems first. Mom’s just selfless.”

Selfless. Sacrificial. Compassionate.

That’s who Lisa Streussnig is, and her family (including Carmine the dog) loves her because of it.

“You are the love of my life and I love you dearly.” – Tom
