Melissa Marrero is “the best at everything and is unapologetic” according to her husband, Joey, and he loves her for that.
Whether you are talking about her mini golf skills or her sales skills, it does not matter, as Melissa is the greatest at all these things. So much so that, at work, they created a position on the sales team just for her… I don’t know, that sounds like she is a pretty impactful presence at work.
At the same time, on the home front, Melissa is a top-notch wife and mother. If you ask Joey, he will tell you she is the best at both those things just like in everything else, and a lot of people might tend to agree.
Yet, the best thing about Melissa is, despite the fact that she is unapologetic about her being great at everything, she lives her life with a ton of humility.
She also lives her life with a ton of other great attributes, as she is just an incredible all-around human being.
“She’s beautiful,” Joey said. “Every time I look at her, she makes me smile. She warms my heart. She’s never given up on me. I don’t know what I would do without her. Melissa is my puzzle piece… I can’t imagine sharing a life with anyone else.”
Joey could not imagine sharing traditions like White Castle in New York or going to Baltimore sporting events either. They love to snuggle on the couch together, along with mini golfing and spending time with family. The long and the short of it is, as long as Melissa is there, Joey (and anyone else) is having the time of their lives.
One of these people who is always having the time of their life with Melissa is their daughter, Harley. Whether she is painting her nails with Mommy or sneaking a snuggle or two in with her, she loves getting to spend time with her.
Of course, Melissa is just an overall phenomenal mother to Harley. She loves to make her 9-year-old happy, and she is devoted to creating the best life possible for her.
One of the ways Melissa does this is by finding great camps and activities for her daughter to participate in. She is even a leader in Harley’s school’s PTSO, and that is because Melissa is a hands-on mother who is truly looking out for her kid at all times.
“Melissa is an amazing mother and wife,” Joey said. “She constantly goes above and beyond for everyone. Harley and I definitely don’t thank her enough for all of the things she does for us. She’s tough but fair. She brings the best out of me and is a great example for our daughter to be a strong, capable woman.”
Melissa sets the example for Harley (and even Joey) by just being herself. She is an incredible role model of hard work, passion and determination, and she is the type of family woman whose love never wavers.
”She helps me with my homework,” Harley said. “She also helps me with the changes in my body and what I’m going to grow up to be. She teaches me how to do chores and be responsible.”
One of the things Melissa has always taught her daughter is to be herself, and that is exactly who Harley is. She is an amazing young girl with a big heart, just like her mama.
Speaking of which, Melissa’s heart for others is amazing. She is the type of friend who is there for you through thick and thin. Her selflessness ensures she is going to be a constant in everyone’s lives, and as long as you treat her right, she is going to care for you.
“She treats people with kindness and respect, but at the same time she has an attitude and wants the best from everyone,” Harley said.
Melissa expects nothing short of greatness from everyone, and she pushes people in the best way possible. She is the type of friend who is going to encourage you, but at the same time she is going to always give you that boost of tough love.
Melissa is also not afraid to be who she is, which would explain where her daughter got it from.
“I admire her courage, determination and strength,” Joey said. “Melissa is the strongest person I know. Watching what she does makes me want to be a better person.”
Melissa wants what is best for everyone, and Joey wants to be the best for her. He knows she deserves the world, and he knows she deserves more recognition, and he hopes to provide that for her more and more with each passing day.
“Melissa, you’re my best friend, my heartbeat and my puzzle piece. The moment we touched hands, I knew we were going to be together forever. We just celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary in 2023, and I look forward to many more years together… All I can say is, as long as we’re together and keep working on making us better, there’s nothing we can’t face together… I love you with my whole heart.” – Joey
