Brad and Noelle Nolte each had sons who played travel hockey when they met and decided to go out on a date. Their first date was on February 20, which is the birthday of Noelle’s son, Jay. They hit it off and began dating, then Brad proposed on the beach in Santa Cruz.
“I took her on the rocks at the pier with her mom and told her we were doing ‘family photos,’ then I surprised her by dropping to my knee and popping the question,” Brad said. “It was amazing because she said, ‘Yes’ with all of her family and friends there to watch.”
He added that it was even more of a surprise after he did a fake “carrot proposal” with a tin foil ring and a baby carrot on the top at a hockey tournament.
The couple was married on August 22, 2015, and had a son named Carter. They live a wonderful life in Gilroy, California, with their family and lots of friends nearby.
Brad said he fell for Noelle because she is a wonderful person who is beautiful inside and out. He added that she is incredibly kind and would give everything she has to her friends and family, especially her three sons.
Noelle is an extremely hard worker who not only takes care of the kids, but keeps the house in order. She’s not only a preschool teacher at her mother’s family business, but is also attending cosmetology school full-time to pursue her dream as a hairdresser.
“I am in awe of Noelle,” Brad said. “She works so hard and still finds the time to take care of her family.”
When she finds free time, Noelle loves to hang out with her close friends and especially loves to watch her kids play sports. Brad said they go to a lot of hockey games because “travel hockey has been our life,” but he added that they love it because they enjoy watching the boys compete.
Noelle takes care of her family’s needs and goes out of her way to support them in everything they do.
“I am so thankful that Noelle is supportive of everything I do and wants me to enjoy life as do I for her,” Brad said. “She is determined and goes nonstop to make sure everyone around her is taken care of. I’m always telling her to take a break and relax. She laughs and says, ‘Take a break? From what?’ That’s what I love about her! Helping others is part of her everyday life.”
“I truly appreciate all the little things she does for our family,” Brad continued in conclusion. “She makes me so happy, and I love her. I am lucky to have her in my life, and I couldn’t picture myself with anyone else.”
