There is no doubt about how much Jodi Lyn McCarty’s family loves her. She is the light of everyone’s life, and to her husband and children, she is absolutely their everything.
Jodi is a Long Island girl who met her college sweetheart in central Pennsylvania. And from the moment Brad first met Jodi, he could tell just how special she was, and she has remained everything he could ever ask for in a wife.
Jodi has also been everything Brad could have asked for in a mother to their four children, as each of their four kids love and appreciate everything their mom has to offer. They are all at different stages in their lives right now – two are teens and two are young adults – and Jodi provides love and support to each of them every day.
She is also a role model who they all look up to and learn a lot from, and they love all the amazing qualities their mother possesses.
“Mom is loving, caring, smart, fun, competitive, creative, humble, adventurous, funny, honest, inclusive, faithful and so much more,” Maddie said. “Not to mention, she is the most selfless person I know. Always willing to go out of her way for others, she wants to make sure everyone is taken care of.”
In Jodi’s life, selflessness is a key. She loves to be there for the people in her life, as well as for people who are less fortunate, and more importantly, she is always finding time for family. From sporting events to vacations, the McCarty clan always has a good time.
“Some of my favorite memories with my mom are when she homeschooled me so we were able to spend a lot of time together and be creative and enjoy our lessons,” Morgan said. “Another memory I love is all of our beach vacations, we always have so many laughs. I also enjoy watching her play charades.”
The most important thing to Jodi, however, does not come from memories. It is, in fact, her faith, and her children know this. She got them all involved in church from a young age, and she has always made it a point to keep God at the center of the family.
She loves to pray for people and she just loves making sure her children have their priorities straight, from their faith to everything else.
“I am so grateful for having an amazing mother who cares so much,” Ian said. “Thank you for all the letters you sent at boot camp and everything you do for us. I miss you and can’t wait to see you again.”
Even from afar, Jodi is making a difference in her kids’ lives. And that speaks volumes to the type of mother she will be as they all continue to grow older. Jodi is the mom whose love will never waver, and her kids all know she will always be just a phone call away.
“Jodi is a great mom because she always cares so much all the time about everyone,” Finnley said.
Jodi is constantly looking out for her loved ones and everyone in between, and she is the one you can always count on. She is there for people day or night, and she is honestly the most beloved person around. Her children and her husband admire her and are so gracious toward her, and they are all glad to have the lives afforded to them by Jodi.
