Zach Rice is going to become a household name down in Chapel Hill, NC. The Liberty Christian Academy (VA) senior received offers from a plethora of schools, and was down to his final choices – Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, North Carolina and in-state Virginia. Each of those teams pushed hard to bring in this projected first-round talent, but it was Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels who came out on top.
The number nine overall recruit (via 247 sports) is a physical specimen, standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 282 pounds, and still has time to grow. He towers over defenders and overpowers opponents’ defensive linemen. He does not shy away from a challenge, and will take on defenders who might be listed as taller and bigger than him.
