Angel Princess: Sydney is focused on quality time and authentic connections, and Brad loves his better half for who she is

Best friends. Life partners. Soulmates.

Three phrases Brad and Sydney Dusek use a lot when talking about each other, and if you ask Brad, he will tell you Sydney is the most amazing life partner he could ever ask for.

He loves their date nights at the Rio & Cafe Vino just as much as he loves their impromptu date nights at Yoga Pod, and he loves how much his wife cares and makes herself available to the kids as well. He will never forget the first time they held hands either, as there was an electricity like he never felt before. Sydney is just an amazing, loving woman with a whole lot of care in her heart, and Brad cannot imagine his life without her.

“Sydney absolutely makes me a better person,” Brad said. “She helps me see things from a different perspective; she is an open-minded and creative solutions-based smart thinker. She is an amazing example to me, keeps me accountable and helps encourage me to be the best version of myself.”

Not only that, but Sydney is an attentive listener, and Brad has begun to learn to be the same way. She has both a knower’s mind and a lover’s mind, and she is not afraid to challenge herself either.

In fact, Sydney does just that on a daily basis with her balance of home and work life. By day, Sydney has a full-time job at Colorado State University while also working at a private counseling practice and volunteering at the Learn Lab.

By night, Sydney is an outstanding mother who has helped mend this blended family together. She and Brad have a combined five children, and those teenagers and young adults sure keep her on her toes, but Sydney would not trade being a mother for the world.

“She puts the kids first before herself,” Bradley said. “She cares about where they’re at and how they’re doing. She’s the kind of person who, if she has a low tank, she’s going to pour it out into her kids… even when they don’t know it. She’s always there for them.”

Sydney is the type of mother who is focused on traditions and creating special moments during the holidays. She also loves traveling and hosting a weekly family dinner, and she loves when all the kids are together playing games and hanging out.

She also loves being around friends. Sydney is the type of friend you can rely on each and every day, as her commitment to people is unwavering.

“She’s very smart, intelligent and well-read,” Bradley said. “Sydney’s very worldly. She’s well-traveled. She’s a very warm and inviting person to friends. She’s a good listener and a helper. She’s a giver. They trust her. They call her because they trust her opinion.”

Loyalty and reliability. Those are two words that encapsulate Sydney way more than she realizes.

What also encapsulates her is her ability to be the most amazing, one-of-a-kind woman in the world in the eyes of her family. All of them love her so much and are just super glad to call her the matriarch of their family of seven.
