“She is my other half. I don’t know what I would do without her.”
This is how Sean Russell has felt about his wife, Amber, since pretty much the day he met her.
They met at a pub following one of Sean’s hockey games on a cold October night, and they have been in each other’s lives ever since, and that is all because of how special Amber is. From her selflessness to the way she supports other people to the heart she has, Amber is constantly doing everything for other people. And Sean loves this about her.
He also loves the fact that she is a hard worker, has a lot of integrity and that she is just fun to be around. She brings him so much happiness and joy, and Amber is also someone who is very thankful for what she has. She does not take things for granted, and this is something that really makes her stand out.
What also makes her stand out is the fact that, throughout the years, Amber has been teaching Sean many things about life. There are a plethora of things Sean is grateful to have learned from her, such as how to be a great parent.
“She has taught me acceptance and patience,” Sean said. “She will always be teaching me this.”
Amber does everything with a smile on her face too, and you can tell how genuine she is in all she does. She loves to love, and she loves to care for others.
That is why, on this anniversary, Sean wants to celebrate Amber for who she is. She deserves all the praise and glory, especially considering how much of that she shows toward other people.
Not only is she a wonderful wife and friend who deserves to be celebrated for such, but Amber is also a phenomenal mother. Tyler (28), Nigella (20) and Max (16) are all wonderful people in their own right, and that is because of who their mom is. They look up to Amber in so many ways, and they all realize that, no matter how old they get, they will always need their mom.
“She is a fantastic mother,” Sean said. “Amber is a problem solver, a great tutor and teacher, a role model, artistic and has a great sense of humor.”
Amber is everything you could ask for in a mother and then some.
She is also everything you could ask for in a grandmother, and Jaxxon (6) knows at such a young age that his grandmother is the best. She is there for him and supports him, and he looks up to him the way his mother, aunt and uncle have always looked up to their mother.
Of course, Sean also appreciates how much love and support his wife shows him. Amber is there for him day in and day out, and she has always been in his corner in life.
“She has always been there to support me, despite my reluctance to open up,” Sean said. “She has the prettiest eyes and a smile that lights up the room that she enters. She has continued to educate in her trade over the years and has received numerous certificates leading to a successful business. Amber excels with agendas and travel itineraries.”
Anything Amber touches becomes successful. And anyone she is around becomes more positive and happy because of how wonderful and uplifting a soul she is.
Amber brings out the best in everyone too, and she is constantly looking for ways to help out others. Whether this be monetarily or by passing off her wisdom, she wants to encourage others in any way she can.
She also just loves to do whatever it takes to keep her family happy, healthy and safe.
“She loves everyone,” Sean said. “Amber works so hard to provide for us. She is always there for everyone no matter what.”
Amber is reliably, trustworthy, loyal and everything in between, and it is no wonder Sean has loved her for as long as he has. She is truly one of the good ones, and he cannot imagine life without her.
“We disagree sometimes, even though you are always right at the end. I wouldn’t trade the 20 years together for anything. We have three beautiful and successful children, and I can’t wait for the next 20 years. The most important thing is that I love you.” – Sean
