Father’s Day may look a little different this year. While some states and counties are starting to open up restaurants and tourism spots, other areas are not. If you normally take Dad out to dinner for Father’s Day, you might have to change up your plans.
If you still want to celebrate Father’s Day but want to practice social distancing, call Dad up on Zoom. He will love the fact that he is still celebrating with his children, even if you are not there in person.
If you are celebrating in person, take part in some activities that will get him up and moving. You can take him fishing or play mini golf with your whole family. These are outdoor activities that will still get Dad out of the house and are things that he could enjoy.
You can also take him for a picnic. This is another outdoor activity that can replace taking him out to eat. Whether you get takeout or cook food for the picnic, Dad is going to love how thoughtful you were for Father’s Day.
If Dad just wants to celebrate inside and watch TV or play some cards, that is okay too. Whatever is going to make Dad happy and enjoy spending time with his children is the best route to go for Father’s Day.
