A phone charger charged this couple’s love.
It was at a Sonic where Meredith and Andy first met back in high school. She was looking for a phone charger, he had picked up the Swiss Army knives of phone chargers. Later that night, Meredith and her group of friends had Andy take them to their next destination, and Meredith left her purse behind. Andy went to hand it to her, she gave him a kiss and here we are 18 years later.
Throughout those 10-plus years, this couple has grown up together. They went from high school sweethearts to lifetime lovers, and they have always been there for each other. Andy has learned how to love a woman and how to treat a woman along the way, and he could not imagine spending every day by anyone else’s side.
There is so much to say about Meredith, as she has such a wonderful, bubbly personality. She seems to be happy all the time, and she also treats everyone around her with kindness. She makes a lot of sacrifices too, and she is appreciated for how amazing she truly is.
“I love her smile! And that she is always putting others before herself,” Andy said.
Meredith is as selfless as they come, and Andy loves how she would drop everything she is doing if she knows someone is in need. She has such a great heart, and she quite literally does not know how to look out for herself over others.
Meredith’s happiness thrives on seeing other people happy, and she just loves to bring joy to other people’s worlds.
“Meredith is one of the kindest humans that is always sacrificing her own happiness for the happiness of others,” Andy said. “Her generosity is amazing. Her laugh is contagious!”
Her sense of humor is top notch. Meredith has a laugh and a smile that can light up any room she walks into, and people are just drawn to her amazingness.
People are also drawn to how wonderful a mother Meredith is. She does anything and everything for Palmer, Beckett and Walker, and she loves raising them back on her home turf in Dallas, Texas.
“She is the best mother and wife anyone could ask for,” Andy said. “There isn’t a task too much for her to handle. She keeps the kids entertained, fed and educated, all with a smile on her face.”
If you see Meredith upset or with a frown on her face, then you have experienced a true rarity. It is not often at all that she is not radiating with happiness, and you will certainly never see her treating her children poorly. Those kids are her entire world, and she makes sure they have all they need.
Meredith is a super supportive mother who genuinely enjoys taking care of her three kids, and she even gave up her job teaching to become a full-time mom.
She has also made a lot of memories with her family along the way, and Andy certainly has some particularly fond memories with his wife.
“I was playing baseball on Valentine’s Day in college. Meredith came to visit me so we could be together. We went to a friend’s house that night and his dog had puppies, and that was our Valentine’s present to each other. A puppy named Rookie that was our ‘first baby.’”
From their first baby to their fourth baby, the Pendleton family has grown over time, which is a testament to how this couple has grown up and grown together over time.
Andy looks to his wife constantly for so much advice and support, and he is grateful time and time again for her.
“She is always the voice of reason, keeps me humble and reminds me of the blessings that we have!”
Andy would not be half the man he is today without Meredith, and he would not be a father either. For those reasons and many more, he counts his blessings and does not take her for granted. She is special in every way, and she is one-of-a-kind.
“For half of our lives, we have loved each other. We’ve grown up as people, we’ve grown in our faith and we’ve loved unconditionally throughout. Happy Mother’s Day! We love you!”
