Aubrey Bush is a great wife and mother who lights up her family’s lives by always putting them first. Aubrey was born and raised in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The two most influential people in her early life were her mom Ronda and her Papaw Ronnie.
She stayed in Kentucky to attend University at the University of Kentucky, where she met her future husband, Nathan Bush. They went out for frozen yogurt on their first date, where Aubrey did most of the talking as Nathan began to develop an interest in many of her best qualities, which he still admires today.
“She is always very honest. She is not afraid to work hard. She puts her family first,” said Nathan. “She keeps me focused on what is important. That is really valuable to me.”
This love led to Aubrey becoming a mother to 4-year-old Logan and 10-month-old Sydney. Some of Nathan’s favorite memories with Aubrey are the birth of their children and trips they’ve taken together to New Orleans, California and Puerto Rico. These wonderful memories are only a small part of why her family appreciates her so much.
“She cares very deeply about her family and always wants what is best for them,” said Nathan. “Logan says his favorite thing about his mom is that/when she plays with him. She has a very infectious smile that others are always drawn to.”
Despite being there for her family so much, Aubrey has made time to build an impressive career having been a teacher for five years and now working for the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. She always puts her all into work, but also into her hobbies like growing flowers on her and Nathan’s farm, working outside and going to car shows in the summer.
She may not work as a teacher professionally anymore, but she certainly is the teacher in her family. She has provided her kids with plenty of valuable life lessons and continues to do so.
“[Aubrey loves] educating the children, planning for special events and playing with them,” said Nathan. “[She loves] taking them along with us even though it’s tough sometimes.”
On this Mother’s Day, Aubrey’s family wants to ensure that she knows how deeply appreciated and loved she is while knowing there are many more wonderful Mother’s Days to come.
“Aubrey is a great mom, and we are very lucky to have her,” said Nathan. “We just want her to know how much we appreciate everything that she does.”
