When Albert met Pamela at a Imperial Valley College Christian Club meeting in 2003, he thought that it might have been a sign from God telling him that she is the one.
When they prayed together after their first date, he knew it was a total affirmation, and they have been together ever since.
“When I saw how open her heart was to God and how strong her faith was in Jesus Christ, I just knew everything else would fall into place,“ Albert said.
Their marriage has not come without a fair share of ups and downs, as Albert had his doubts early on, not about Pamela but just about the uncertainty of his own future career.
Pamela was always able to calm him down and remind him that they “can do all things through Christ who strengthens us” (Philippians 4:13). She knew that God is always on their side.
With that type of encouragement from his loving wife, he always knew that everything was going to be okay, and he knew that their marriage was going to persevere and survive the test of time.
“My wife is amazing,” Albert said. “She is my best friend and I admire her so much.”
Pamela gives it her all in everything she does. From raising their three daughters, to doing an exceptional job at her work as a high school math teacher, she always puts in the work.
“My wife is beautiful, intelligent, and I love her personality,” Albert said. “On top of being an exceptional mother and wife, she is a successful hardworking educator who has been impacting students for many years now.”
This hard work has been paying dividends, and she was recently named Imperial County ACSA Teacher of The Year. This is a very honorable distinction, and she certainly deserved the award.
There are so many qualities that help set Pamela above the rest, and these are qualities that have attracted Albert to his wife more and more every day.
“She is so patient and kind with everyone she encounters,” he said. “My wife is diligent and hardworking. She is a very caring and loving wife/ mother ,and she always keeps God in the center of everything.“
The care and the compassion Pamela shows toward others truly stands out to everyone, and she is such a selfless individual. She is always there for her family and friends, and her family is the top priority.
“She is a good person with a big heart and she always puts others’ first,” Albert said.
With someone as amazing as Pamela in his life, it is difficult for Albert to not get all gushy and teary-eyed talking about her.
“God has blessed us with such a beautiful family,” Albert said. “To our girls Genesis, Grace, Rebekah and to me, she is our everything.”
While Pamela is a hard worker by nature, she has no trouble relaxing and enjoying life.
“We have so much fun together. Whether we are traveling through Mexico or dancing at a concert , we have made many memorable moments together,” Albert said.
With so many memorable moments together, Albert is truly glad that he found and married his soul-mate 17 years ago.
Pamela is certainly someone that is easy to admire. Coming from Mexico, she didn’t learn the English language until she was a teenager. Not letting anything stand in her way, she was the first in her family to graduate from a University, and recently she earned a Master’s Degree.
“We are so proud of all your accomplishments and recognitions! You are such a great role model to our daughters, and we truly appreciate you for everything you do for us. Pamela, you are our everything.”
