These three things define Mary Worboys’ life more than anything else.
Not only that, but they show that Mary has her priorities straight. She puts God before anything or anyone else, and that has gone a long way in building up her character and her relationships.
For starters, Mary is a steadfast person who is full of faithfulness and the desire to serve others. She is so gentle and meek, and so much of this has to do with her faith.
As does her relationship with her husband. Bucky and Mary were not saved when they first met, but he quickly learned that she was more than just a surface level beaut. She had so much beauty on the inside because of who she is – and this is even more true now because of where she stands with God. And now, of course, the two of them are equally yoked.
Their relationship has not been without its twists and turns either, but with God at the center, Bucky and Mary can get through anything together.
“She’s my rock,” Bucky said. “She’s the constant in the middle of a storm. We both serve to be that for the other. Thankfully for us, the Lord has made it that if one of us is going through a storm, the other isn’t. We are always there for each other.”
They are there for one another, and they are there for their children as well. Raising children is never easy, but when there is a matriarch like Mary at the center of it all, things become seamless.
Bucky describes his wife as a mother as patient and committed. Their kids have not made things simple by any means, but Mary loves them with all her heart, and her mama bear instincts are always prominent.
“She is incredibly faithful to our family and is very patient with both of our children,” Bucky said. “One being special needs, and the other being 18 for which there is no handbook other than the Bible. She is very loving, patient and consistent! She has nurtured our children well and has helped to teach them what matters in life.”
Mary has taught Bucky a lot in life as well. From faith in God to always being there for others, she is a role model to him in many ways.
“There was a situation of taking in a child who became part of our lives when the mother was suffering from an addiction,” Bucky said. “Once the mom turned her life around, she became the primary in Kiera’s life. Mary and I even started Kiera’s Heart, which is a ministry where we help mothers who are going through addiction. That really speaks to the essence of her and our desire to serve other people for the greater good and to glorify God.”
You can clearly see Mary’s big heart on display each and every single day. She treats others right and is always extending a helping hand.
She is very much appreciated and loved too. Without Mary, a lot of people would be lost, but thankfully, she is just always there, making an impact.
“From the moment I set eyes on you, my heart stopped! The Lord revealed to me that you would be my wife. We have had an amazing 25 years, and through all of the ups and downs, I have cherished every day with you. Even through those tough times, because of our commitment before God, for better or worse, it has made us stronger. You are the cream to my coffee!”
