“She is everything I would love to be”

Janice Holland’s got a great smile and a tremendous attitude. She’s also super supportive and understanding of loved ones. Heck, she even approaches people with unconditional love and a dancing mindset.
All these things and many more are what attracted Robert to his amazing wife right off the bat. And yet, none of those trump the most amazing thing about Janice.
That most amazing thing? Her heart for Jesus.
Heck, when Janice first met Robert, he was fresh out of prison working at Sweet Shop Candies with her. She told him he was a Jesus Freak and a scary Christian, and that is because, when he was in jail, he joined the prison ministry and caught fire for the Lord.
Janice was skeptical of all this at first, but she came with Robert one time to his prison ministry, and she was hooked after that.
In fact, Robert says Janice is in a way better position with her faith than he ever has been. He may have been the one to open her eyes to God, but she is the one that keeps the fire going.
“Her walk with God is amazing,” Robert said. “Her faith in prayer too. She is emotional. We can listen to Christian music and tears will roll down her face. Her faith is amazing. And her love for the Lord. ‘He will never leave us or forsake us’ is one of her big things.”
In every aspect of life, Janice really pushes her husband. And when it comes to faith, she really does bring out his best side. She makes him want to be a better man of Christ on top of everything else.
Janice’s desire is to serve the Lord wherever He leads her, and Robert really admires that about her. They might not get to spend as much time together as they wish, but the moments they do get together are made that much more special.
Robert calls Janice the glue that holds the family together along with his prayer warrior. She covers him and the family in prayer a whole lot, and it is a huge reason why they all have the relationships they do.
When asked how Janice’s faith shapes her relationships with her kids and grandkids, Robert had this to say: “She and her daughter Rachel had a rocky relationship. Through her prayer life and praying for her daughter, that relationship is great now. Rachel brought her her first blood grandchild, Ezra. And now Rachel is a believer.
“My daughter Brittany and her have a special relationship too. It’s all a God thing. Their relationship is not like a stepdaughter/daughter relationship. Brittany calls her a second mom. They both have a strong shared faith.”
That’s just who Janice is. She supports her family, has made a lot of memories going across bridges in the truck with Robert, and just loves to dance while doing yard work. But most importantly, she is a firm believer who puts her faith in God first and foremost.
