Agreement. It’s a rarity these days. But, according to a close source, Amy Devries, the unanimous choice for CEO of the Devries Family, is “the one thing everyone can agree on.”
Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1973, Amy Devries was a mover and a shaker from early on, moving to Wyoming with her parents, Pam and John, and sister, Emily. Those 1,500 miles were just the beginning of world travels that would reach the Bahamas, Cambodia, India, Laos, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Vietnam and multiple National Parks.
Her natural ability to successfully take on new roles was borne out back in 2006, during four months of international travel with Dan Devries. In that short span, Amy went from girlfriend to fiancé, and fiancé to wife. Her promotion to CEO of the Devries family was a natural progression, and she continues forward full speed ahead.
Amy is the perfect centerpiece for the Devries family, working tirelessly on behalf of her husband and children, Mason and Evelina. Her extraordinary service as chauffeur, event planner, arranger of RV vacations and ski outings, and coordinator of both circus and Tae Kwon Do practice, make her qualifications indisputable.
According to Dan Devries, Amy also holds the position of best friend and life partner.
No boring workaholic, adventurous Amy enjoys swimming and yoga, and is an avid music lover. Her propensity toward rock music at extremely high decibels is borne out by attendance at concerts by Billy Idol, The Cure, Slayer, Nine Inch Nails, ZZ Top, Journey, Motley Crue, Kiss, Blondie, Steve Miller, The Cult, Social Distortion, Stone Temple Pilots, Sting and Primus. It is also shown through her well-known tendency to sing along loudly in the car with the stereo cranked.
Amy is the pacesetter for the always-on-the-move Devries family, resulting in such memorable activities as hiking in Yosemite, kayaking in Lake Tahoe, snorkeling with manta rays in Hawaii, and endless miles in the RV with great conversation and nary a dull moment.
The recommendations for Amy Devries are as glowing as her resume. She is described as a “family first” individual who is organized, supportive and generous with her time and her labor.
“I am never bored being with her,” adds Dan Devries, who knew Amy was “the one” during their four-month sojourn to Southeast Asia, mentioned earlier. They were engaged in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, and married in Goa, India, on April 25, 2006.
Since that time, Amy has also added “Mom” to her list of titles – to Mason, born January 27, 2009, and Evelina, born November 18, 2011.
Her sacrifices on behalf of her husband, son and daughter inspire the entire Devries family. A notable example of her “selflessness” was the time when their child was born, and Dan was forced to eat outside in subfreezing weather.
The challenges of recent years have strengthened family bonds, and they have grown – together and as individuals.
According to Dan, Amy is helping him, Mason and Evelina become their “best selves.” That Amy Devries, Devries Family CEO, is deeply loved and appreciated is another thing that everyone can agree on.
